she's crafty....

They always play that song on Good Things Utah (if you ever watch) whenever they do a craft! Well that's what I've been up to today! First it all started when we went to the DR, I just loved the way that they set the tables up with bright colored runners, and always cool chargers under the plates. So Yesterday I found some super cute wood chargers at Kohl's....55% off! Then I thought I'd get the ball rolleing farther by getting some turquoise linen fabric for my runners...and possibly napkins if I get really ambitious! Try to imagine the table in a much cooler setting without these ugly yellow walls!


Just so happens that our dishes we got for Christmas match pretty darn good....now just for something to grace the center of the table (yes I just put the candlesticks there to fill the void of nothingness on the table)!!!

another workout post (#3)....

I think this will be my last workout post UNLESS I come across a really good day, or a really bad day! So today was workout #3 and I knew I was going to have to run....which I hate....but I did and she made me run for 20 minutes! Too bad I couldn't run the whole time so she adjusted the workout special for me! I guess she didn't want me to die and I probably would have! But afterward I felt really good about myself...so I can't say it was totally awful! It was just ok, not to mention I did my core workouts again and I LOVE THEM! But i want to introduce to all of you my new favorite friend who helps me get through my soreness.....

It's called "The Stick" and I like to say it's a rolling pin for your muscles! How to use: After your workout, get The Stick and gently run up and down your muscles while relaxed...essentially rolling them out like dough! You DON'T have to press hard for it to work! And basically what it does is stretches your muscles out without having to do any stretching...and it really works! Even though I've been mega sore, Corey just gave me this yesterday and it definitely helps with your soreness! So check it out next time you workout and see if your gym has them to use....what a lifesaver!

workout #2....

Just in case you really wanted to know how my step by step workout program is going! Well today was my second day of Acceleration...I know my last comment about it was negative and only negative! Well my tune has changed! Today was awesome...I did so many lunges that my legs are really shaky right about now! But it was such a hard workout that felt SO GOOD! As long as I don't have to run, I think I'll be much more happy with the workout! But tomorrow I go back for round 3 and I think running is in the cards! Let's see my perspective then...

workout #1...

On Tuesday was my very first workout with Athletic Republic otherwise known as Acceleration. It's a program at the hospital and I decided to sign up for it to get in shape. So I went, not really knowing what I was getting into, even though Corey works there! Well it kicked my butt! I'm not kidding you, I am so dang sore today I swear I feel like an old lady with arthritis! Not to mention that I totally almost puked and or passed out after running! Holy out of shape, but it's not like I practice sprinting on a regular basis! Oh well, that's one day down...and twenty three to go before my time is up! Let's hope that Thursday will be a little easier on my body and that I just end up loving it...Corey won't let me quit now :( !

tis the season....

Indeed the time for swimwear has almost come! The snow is slowly melting and summer is only two months away! It's the time when we must unearth our swimmers and put them on our white out of shape bodies! MY FAVORITE! Well this year, I'm doing something about it! With the help of
I will be working my butt off for the next 8 weeks....in hopes to lose 20 pounds for summer! Wish me luck...I might have to post a weight loss tracker to show my success!
