emergency solved....

Thanks to all those who were trying to help me out....but today I called the bookstore and found out that I can still get a cap and gown so I just ordered one to get it out of my hair. I realized, however, that I was having one of those moments where I freaked out and couldn't stop thinking about something...when it really wasn't a big deal. Oh well...life goes on, that's just me!

graduation emergency....

I know this is kind of random, but I totally missed the graduation fair up at school, and forgot to call and order a cap and gown. I might still be able to order one...but do any of you know someone who has one that I could possibly borrow? If you do please let me know ASAP! Thanks!

dansmelly got married....

On Friday we got to go to Danielle Weston's (now Naylor) wedding! She looked so beautiful so I thought I'd post a few pictures in her honor....Congratulations cutie!

Sorry that I haven't posted since forever ago...but Corey and I have been dogsitting for my brother at his house. Unfortunately he doesn't have the internet or a computer so I'm way behind!

where do kids come up with this stuff....

A quick story...today at school we were telling the kids about a change (as in coins) war going on at school next week. The kids are totally excited about being able to bring money to school and compete with other classes! Well after the teacher finished telling them that they can't bring money without their parents permission because they MUST know about it first...one girls goes, "Yeah, and um teacher after we put the money in the jars we'll have to wash our hands because money is really dirty!" Dude your six...how do you know this? I love the randomness of 1st graders...it made me laugh uncontrollably...totally happens when you least expect it! Gotta go watch Greys...catch ya later!

halloween....i know i'm late....

I finally got a picture from my Halloween day at school! I was a pirate...Jack Sparrow to be exact and it was so much fun! At first I really think I scared the kids and they were like who is this person. Then after a while they started to warm up and ask me questions like, "Are you a pirate?" And then it would hit them...."Are you Capn. Jack Sparrow?" Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! So it turned out to be a really good day! My favorite costumes that I saw during the school day were; Napoleon Dynamite and Pedro, mini mouse, and an army dude. I also thought it was funny that one girl who was also a pirate, similar to me, would wave and smile at me everytime I saw her in the hall, like we were shipmates. It was cute!

Onto my beef with trunk or treats, for Natalie....sorry I kept you waiting! It just irks me that trunk or treats have become the tradition for Halloween now! Think back to when you were a kid, walking around the neighborhood all dressed up, knocking on doors was the best part about Halloween...it's what we looked forward, or at least I did anyway. So my view may be different than yours because I am not a parent...but if you are worried about your kids not being safe because they are walking around outside.....go trick or treating with them! They don't have to go alone! And only go to the people that you know...that eliminates the mystery....it's just that simple! I know that the kids now have basically grown up only knowing trunk or treats, so they don't even know what they are missing out on! Plus I'm sick and tired of buying candy that no one ever comes to get! Let's revert back to the ways of our childhood next year. And now I'm done!

my blogging dilema...

So I've been wanting to post stuff from the past weeks events....but my camera has been at a repair center ... thanks to someone's large foot that stepped on it and broke the screen! I haven't been able or wanted to post anything because I don't have pictures to go along with it! Plus I hate (even though I'm new at this blogging) when people don't update their blogs regularly...by regularly I mean practically daily! Yeah, I know it's a lot to expect from other people if I can't even update my own! To make a long story, that I already made long short...my camera is getting sent back un-repaired because I bought a new one for just about the same price as repairing it! It'll be here next week... be prepared for some spectacular posts to come!
