A first and the runners up...

Yesterday my Mom gave me a giant container full of plums ready to become jam. I have NEVER made jam before and she left to Montreal today so she couldn't help me! Well, I'm proud to say that today I made my first batch of Plum Jam, I just hope it tastes as good as it looks!

It took nearly two hours from start to finish, made 7 1/2 jars, and now I'm completely exhausted!

I also thought I'd share the blog design runners up, since we didn't have a boy (and there was way more cute boy paper at the store), I have two blogs that just didn't make the cut...but they are soooo cute I wanted all to see them!

A BIG GIANT THANKS...

To all you moms out there who offered your wise and experienced advice to me! It was awesome to finally feel like I had some answers, however, I do still feel slightly overwhelmed about the things to buy but have decided that it's not a huge deal! It will come eventually and I'll be able to decide what's most important and what I like! But a super thanks to those of you who recommended literature for me! I just got Baby Wise tonight and started reading it...what an awesome book so far! After everything I've learned in my child development and education classes in conjuction with this book, it all makes so much sense! I know that implementing the actual techniques might be difficult but I'm vowing to do it! Wish me luck...and don't worry I'm also going to read The Baby Whisperer, And the Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy, and possibly What to Expect When You're Expecting too, which were also recommended, it's just one book at a time for right now! So once again a much deserved thanks goes to YOU!

I've decided to poll the audience to find out what baby stuff is absolutely necessary to buy before the baby comes...I mean like can't live without it, a total must have! Since I've never had a kid before I thought that all you more knowledgeable moms would be able to tell me the latest and greatest must haves in motherhood! GARAGE SALE....

Baby Appointment #2...

Today was our second doctor's appointment for the baby. It was great! I got to listen to the heartbeat again, sounds good, and then asked my doctor a buttload of questions! And now that I've finally started to feel better, here's a few things that I'm loving....

Sliced Oranges

OH I could eat anything there...but the breadsticks and Santa Fe Alfredo....YUM!

Yummy Fresh Corn on the Cob...I know it won't last long...but for now I'm enjoying it!

And lastly the Crispy Chicken Salad at Wingers...so darn tasty!

But my appetite isn't just limited to those places...I can finally eat sandwiches without gagging and haven't thrown up for TWO WEEKS! Yesssss! I think I'm finally past it and excited to be able to start being normal, picking back up my workouts, and taking less naps (yeah right)! So there's my update....(Four Months...or sixteen weeks...but it's close enough)

And here's my bump...which I don't think I have one! Sometimes at night...but I'll come!

Eating, Breathing, and Sleeping the Olympics...

NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO????

The last two weeks were completely awesome and now I'm so sad that the Olympics are over! There is nothing on TV now and I feel a little lost! They were pretty much awesome from start to finish...and I seriously cried when they were over (hey it could be the hormones)! So now I'm anxiously waiting for...

Changes....

I feel like I never have anything to post about because we're always doing the same old thing! But over the past couple of months we've slowly been making changes in our lives! Like a couple weeks ago I got a new job...nothing special just doing some bookwork for a label and graphics company...therefore my time has been a little bit more occupied! We've also been looking for a home that we can move into hopefully soon...not much luck there so we might just end up building! Anyone who's done that lend us some advice please or if you know of a cute newer home that's for sale! And lastly the biggest change in our life...

A BABY'S ON THE WAY!
Today was our first ultrasound and here's the baby's first picture!
Yes, it's upside down but on the left you can see it's little bum and skinny legs, and of course on the right is it's head. It also shows the heartbeat at the bottom! It was so fast at 174 beats per minute!And then here's a little bigger one so you can see better! It's measuring at 5.33 cm which puts me at 12 weeks even...so my due date is...February 17th oh how lucky because that's my birthday! But we're so excited and so are our families!

4 books in 1 week...so worth it....

Many of you have probably read the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. I read them all a year ago and then decided to pick them up and re-read them last week to remind myself what they were all about before Breaking Dawn came out. I promise I'm not going to spoil anything, because that would be so rude of me if you hadn't read it yet! But I do want to know how you felt about the last book with a satisfaction rating of 1 to 5 and why! Let's hear it girls (and guys if there's any)! Oh yeah, my rating of overall satisfaction for Breaking Dawn is a 5. Because it answered all my questions and ended the way I wanted it...even if it did get a little bizarre in the middle!
