creative pumpkin creations....

Every year we carve pumpkins with Corey's family up Logan Canyon. It is a lot of fun! We always try to find the sweetest, most creative templates or we create our own! Well this year, we came up with these cute pumpkins....check 'em out!

impromptu halloween party....

Friday I decided to throw an impromptu Halloween party with my friends...thanks to all who came! We all had to dress up and Corey and I decided to be cowboys...I wish I had a shot of Corey's pants, funny stuff! So we ate snacks and played some sweet games including; testing our trivia, pass the apple with your neck (which is quite difficult), and then my personal favorite pin the wart on the witch (however I do not have a picture of that, but I did the artwork myself...maybe when my camera gets fixed I'll take a pic and post it). To sum up the evening it was lots of fun! I guess sometimes you just need to mix it up and do something different...so I am very pleased with my decision!

1. I sort of got OCD from my mom when it comes to cleaning my home, pretty much it didn't carry into EVERY part of cleaning because my room can be an utter mess, but...when it comes to how the bed is made and how the dishes are arranged in the dishwasher it can't be done another way!

2. I love being a hostess. I thoroughly enjoy making an awesome atmosphere for others so that they can have fun. However, it can totally stress me out because I want it to be great...so then I tend to forget to have fun myself!

3. I love Rod Stewart....those of you who know me well knew that already...but oh well, that's just me!

4. My favorite things in the whole world are reading, a good surprise, not having to do the dishes, sleeping, a nice fitting jean, and watching my favorite movies over and over again!

5. My favorite thing about Corey is that he has a couple different personalities (yes I tell him this) Numero uno - He can be the biggest goof ball and make everyone laugh including me all the time. Numero dos - Then there's serious Corey who totally bores me when he talks about school, work or jeeps. I pretend like I still love him but i just am not feeling it! Numero tres - He seriously becomes the biggest grouch when he is either tired or hungry...sometimes I swear he's the biggest baby!

6. I love to be praised...sort of embarrassing to admit....but I can't help it! I want to be told good job, and you're so smart when I get all A's! I apparently need that kind of reinforcement...but I'm not afraid to praise myself when I feel it's necessary!

the life of a student teacher....

Today was such a good day, with a few minor ego crushers! First of all before lunch one of my students said to me, "Teacher, um your hair looks kinda crazy! I think you look ill!" (keep in mind she's 6) But still, that hurt! So when I asked her why she thought that she said, "Um, it's just kind of sticking up all over!" I was like no it can't be and even if it was, it couldn't have been that bad compared to hers! Oh well! At least they keep me laughing! Second, I walked out to get the kids after recess and realized that my zipper was down :( not like I'd just gone to the bathroom or something, it'd been down ALL day long! I hope that people didn't notice, because if they did and didn't tell me I'm gonna be upset! So I tested it when I got home to see how bad it looked, but I really couldn't tell except for the fact that I knew it was down! Embarrassing!

My First Blog Post

So I was really skeptical about doing this, but I decided to get Katy off my back I would start my own blog. Keep in mind it will be boring for most of you because it's just Corey and I. . .and for the most part we are boring! Oh, well! It might take me a while to get this blog the way I'd like it, so I guess you'll have to be patient!So for now, I'll just post some old pictures from the wedding!
